• Mikimoto Pendant – Never Disappoints, Always Pleases

Mikimoto South Sea Pearl PendantPearl jewelry got some love in the October issue of National Jeweler magazine as it was the featured cover story. The beautiful three page story showcased unique and amazing and pearl rings, pearl necklaces and pearl bracelets from many different designers. Some of the pieces were set in white gold, yellow gold or platinum and were accented with diamonds, semi-precious stones and precious gemstones. All of the pieces are gorgeous with great attention to detail and incredible craftmanship. However, I was still disappointed and not for the reason you might think.

I was not disappointed in the pearls and the fine jewelry but I was astonished that National Jeweler did not include Mikimoto pearls in their layout. They did not feature one Mikimoto item nor did they even mention Mikimoto. I really could not believe that they would leave Mikimoto out. I can’t believe that they just forgot Mikimoto because Mikimoto is the master pearl jeweler creating the most aesthetically pleasing and finely crafted pearl jewelry. Pictured here is a marvelous and classic Mikimoto pendant with three pearl drops and diamond separator accents from the South Sea Cultured Pearl collection. The luster and high quality of these pearls is unsurpassed by any other pearl designer. Why did National Jeweler exclude Mikimoto? Did they do this on purpose?

    • Not to worry Raggy. Mikimoto and their loyal customers know who makes the finest pearl jewelry in the world. Often times these publications feature the jewelry that they can get in time for the shoot (or sometimes their bigger advertisers and supporters). However in this case, National Jeweler might have just been trying to give some press to the “up and comers.”

    • Ah, I am enlightened now. I completely support giving real estate to “up and comers” and having complete layouts. I empathize with meeting deadlines, as I am sure many people do. Thanks Glamguy!
