Designers joining gold and silver
Posted on December 18th, 2007 2 commentsWe’ve seen a great deal of emphasis on the popularity of gold jewelry this year, but I think the new ticket is jewelry that mixes gold and silver. Check out this Roberto Coin Perl’Amore necklace with matching earrings that features pearl shapes made of gold instead of real pearls, diamonds and white gold. I love the organic shapes of the pearls and diamonds are always a nice touch. Now enter David Yurman’s Silver Classics 10mm buckle bracelet. In true Yurman fashion, cable always rocks, and with some simple touches of green onyx and rhodolite garnet, it’s got some hidden bling. The buckle is emphasized beautifully in gold against silver cable. And to round out the collection, we’ve got John Hardy’s sterling silver and gold leaf ring from his Dot Gold and Silver Ayu collection, with a great asymmetrical design and the classic Hardy dots. Take note from these designers, and many more who are integrating gold and silver in their designs, and start mixing up your gold and silver jewelry.

Oh my god– I LOVE sterling silver jewelry, particularly when its combined with gold like some of these pieces you are talking about.
My BF gave me a David Yurman bracelet recently, and its one of my favorite pieces of jewelry to wear everyday.

I have lost one of my earings and was wondering
about a replacement. It is maybe 5 or 6 years old
it has the silver cable in a circle and in the
middle it has a round gold ball. Your help will
be appreciated.
Tks
