Piaget Polo watch – Even better with time

When it was introduced in the 70’s, Piaget’s famous Polo watch quickly became a luxury sensation. Sought after by jet-setters everywhere, it was known as a “must-have” luxury item, rather in the same way that the yellow gold Rolex Day-Date on the president bracelet became the ultimate symbol of the “Greed is Good” 80’s. Beautifully finished, and strikingly designed, with alternating brushed and polished surfaces, the Polo has remained a flagship model for the house of Piaget.

In my opinion, the current versions of this Piaget classic are the most attractive Polos yet. While retaining the famous look of the original Polo, the current models for both men and women are larger than their predecessors, and exude an extremely substantial luxury. As always, the Polo watch remains a superb subject for diamond setting, and ladies have many to choose from here. On the gents side, I particularly love the Large Polo on the crocodile strap, which is very distinguished looking, and extremely handsome–it would be a superb dress watch for someone desiring an elegant watch which isn’t overly dainty.
