Cartier LOVE Charity Bracelet Supports 8 Charities
Posted on February 13th, 2008 21 commentsCartier has added a new jewelry item to its LOVE collection: the Cartier LOVE charity bracelet. The LOVE bracelet has a knotted silk rop with a pink gold center engraved with LOVE where the O is the signature screw emblem.
There are 8 different versions of the Cartier LOVE bracelet. Each version has a different color silk rope that corresponds to a charity. In addition, each bracelet and charity is being promoted by a different celebrity , each of whom is working in partnership with Cartier for this massive charity benefit.
Here are the celebrities and the corresponding charities and bracelets.
- Rosario Dawson: Youth AIDS, Red Bracelet
- Salma Hayek: The Salma Hayek Foundation, White Bracelet
- Scarlett Johansson: USA Harvest, Baby Pink Bracelet
- Spike Lee: Kanbar Institute of Film and Television, Purple Bracelet
- Edward Norton: Maasai Wilderness Conservation Trust, Green Bracelet
- Sarah Jessica Parker: UNICEF, Blue Bracelet
- Michael Stipe: Mercy Corps / Gulf Coast Recovery, Black Bracelet
- Liv Tyler: The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, Deep Pink Bracelet
Cartier will donate $100 from the sale of each LOVE bracelet to its corresponding cause.
The Cartier LOVE Charity bracelet can be purchased at Cartier boutiques while available.

I LOVE Cartier, especially these cute little bracelets. I am happy to see that instead of focusing on one charity, Cartier is celebrating all of them and their great work. Now, if I could only decide which one I want!

Love these bracelets, however you do not make it easy to find, when there is no boutique around me. So finding price and on line ordering are impossible. Can Someone let me know how much they are or where to find them in charlotte, NC????
Thanks -

The Cartier Boutique I contacted gave the double-stranded variety of the bracelet price as (get ready): $975.00. And they are rare. More common, though no less expensive, are the single-strand, that cost $425.00.
I think the price is overpriced for silk and a tiny piece of gold. I understand that $100 goes to charity, and I’m all for that, but $425 for a strand of silk and tiny bit of gold? Someone’s making a profit, and it ain’t the charities…

The price is absturd for a piece of silk strand and very little gold! I much rather buy a 1,000 bag or a watch. I understand that this is helping the charity’s but the charity only recevies $100.

To everyone who complains about the price of the bracelet … how about you just donate $200 to the charity and not need the silly “Cartier” status symbol to show what a “good person” you are. Quit complaining about the profit and forget about the bracelet. Just donate the money and shut up.

WOw i didn’t think silk cost that much!! it’s a rip off… I was thinking of buying it but i rather just donate that money to the charity… vicky is right u dont need to show how good of a person you are
-
Wow, after i heard the price, instant turn off. what if u really like the bracelet and you want to donate but your on a budget. should be at least $100 and I would donate $100. I could efford that.

I bought one of these original yellow gold bracelets two years ago (since then they have come out with the white gold version and then the yellow/white gold combo), and I can tell you that you are only paying for the little gold ring. The saleswoman gave me extra cords of every color.. and then when I went to another boutique a year later to have someone show me how to tie the cord properly, they told me that I could get it done at customer services at no extra cost. So in reality, the little gold ring is what makes the bracelet so expensive. I know it makes more sense to just donate $100 to the charity of your choice, but I love the bracelet (I only take it off when there’s a chance of losing it, like during water sports, which wears out the cord quite a bit.. so those extra cords have definitely come in handy!). IMHO, if you REALLY want to donate to a charity, then you should do it directly.. the money that goes to charity when buying one of these bracelets is really just a way to justify buying such an expensive piece of jewelry.

I wanted one of these bracelets with one gold ring and they are not sold in the Cartier stores anymore. They only sell the new ones with 2 rings that now cost $995 instead of $475 for the 1 ring. I found one on ebay. So if you are looking for a bracelet with 1 ring look on ebay they do have them from time to time listed.
