Chopard 100th Store on Madison Avenue and the Happy Apple Collection
Posted on February 13th, 2008 No commentsTo commemorate the opening of the 100th Chopard retail store, Chopard unveiled a few special, limited edition pieces of jewelry and watches. These pieces celebrate the spirit of New York and feature a diamond studded apple as the symbol of each piece. Called the “Happy Apple” after the Big Apple and Chopard’s historic “Happy Diamond” collection, the collection includes one-of-a-kind with an array of vibrant and rich hewn colored stones such as the red sapphire, amethyst, and black diamonds (seen here in this image). The pieces are meant to reflect the multifaceted nature of the city. This collection was designed by co-sident and design president Caroline Gruois-Scheufele.
Men were not forgotten in this commemorative celebration. Chopard introduced a limited edition series of the men’s Mille Miglia GT XL and L.U.C. XP watches featuring midnight blue dials and the New York City skyline engraved on the case back.
The 100th Chopard store, located at 709 Madison Avenue in Manhattan, was designed by noted French architect Thierry W. Despont. The store is meant to feel like an expansive private home; it has white-oak wall panels and fixtures, velvet curtains and chairs, and a large fireplace.
Next time you are in the Big Apple, make a trip to the newest Chopard boutique and see these special limited edition pieces for yourself.
