Chopard Ring – Happy Diamonds Ring
Posted on February 19th, 2008 No commentsAs a fan of gold rings, this Chopard ring brings a huge smile to my face!
Of course, I love the lustrous gold and the thin shank. I especially like the round design holding the three floating diamonds with a diamond bezel. When I see this round ring, I think of neverending love and eternity.
Also, less noticeable but still very important, I really appreciate the proportions of this Chopard ring. Everything from the diameter of the circle to the size of the floating diamonds inside the case to the thinness of the shank, speaks of the impeccable design and attention to detail for which Chopard is famously known.
There are 29 diamonds totaling 0.39 carats. This Chopard ring is part of the Happy Diamonds collection – one of Chopard’s traditional and most famous diamond jewelry collections.

Posted on February 19th, 2008 No comments
Who doesn’t love Natalie Portman ?She is a real darling of the Silver Screen. Some have even called her “the next Audrey Hepburn.”
Her acting career started with her debut role in the film Leon (1994) (aka “The Professional”). She starred in three other movies before landing her role as Queen/Senator Amidala in the huge blockbuster film Star Wars: Episode 1 – The Phantom Menace.
Natalie Portman continues to be in the spotlight when she strolls the red carpet. Her first nomination was in 2005 for best actress in a supporting role for “Closer.” She wore chic Kwiat earrings of diamonds and onyx at the 2007 post-Oscar Vanity Fair party.
Without a nomination last year, she enjoyed the view from her seat and the party afterwards. However, there are many roles for which Natalie could have scored a nomination including her roles in the Star Wars films and V for Vendetta.
For those fans of the mega-talented actresses awaiting her future movies, she has made it public that she will be taking on limited acting roles for the next four years as she attends Harvard to become a psychologist. What a lady !!
Will Natalie Portman be at the 2008 80th Annual Academy Awards this Sunday ?
If she does attend, will she chose Kwiat again ?

Christina Aguilera has had much more than singing on her mind recently.London jeweler Stephen Webster announced his new sterling silver collection, which is not only inspired by his sultry and intense friend, Miss Christina Aguilera, but also funded by her as well.
The Silver Colection is made from sterling silver and 18k gold and adorned with various gemstones such as jade, chalcedony, goldstone, hematite and white agate. The collection will be introduced at Baselworld in Switzerland in April and Neiman Marcus has the exclusive availablity of the line for spring. Afterwards, the Stephen Webster Silver Collection will be avilable at 15 retailers including Bergdorf Goodman and critical department stores like Saks Fifth Avenue as well as at independant stores.
The first line called Shatteredwill offer about 50 styles of rings, cuffs, pendant sand earrings with the gemstones inlaid into the sterling silver – a technique that resembles enameling in appearance. The inspiration for the design of this collection come from the pieces of stained glass of Gothic church windows.
The second line is called Superstud. Its punk style features many biker studs; about 40 styles will be available.
Stephen Webster describes the line as between fahsion and fine jewelry with price points ranging from $343 for small earrings and $3,528 for a silver collar necklace.
Advertising for the launch of this collection will fist appear in the April issue of W featuring, you guessed it – Christina Aguilera.
“She was a real coup for us. She’s our longest-term regular client and the right age for the brand,” said Webster of the 27-year-old pop singer. “We think she’s in the most glamourous period of her life right now, and she is the main source of inspiration behind the collection.”
The Christina ads were inspired by Alfred Hitchcock films having been shot in black-and-white by photographer Vincent Peters in a LA studio. “I have always loved Hitchcock’s film, and to be able to transport Christina and my jewelry into that classic setting was an amazing experience,” Webster said.
