Panerai Luminor Marina Gets New Bracelet Design

The Panerai Luminor Marina watch will gain a new bracelet version. This addition to the brand’s wildly popular Contemporary Collection is made striking by this distinctive new bracelet, which is of a subtly different design than the bracelets which have appeared on Panerai watches in the past.I’ve written before about the possibilities of Panerai watches on bracelets, and judging by some feedback, I think its safe to say that most Paneristi strongly prefer straps. Not hard to understand–the straps are a huge part of the identity of the iconic Italianate style of these watches. That said, the new bracelet is very beautiful, and is a very fine match to the overall design of the watch. Panerai has taken special care to design the end pieces to be nearly integral with the case; furthermore, they considered the exceptional comfort of straps when creating the link profile of the new bracelet, whose individual elements have been shaped to be both extremely strong yet equally supple. The new bracelet is slightly less “fancy” in its design than the older style, thus perhaps creating a slightly more professional-type appearance (as opposed to having more of a jewelry-type look). A strong, butterfly-type deployant clasp milled from massive stainless steel pieces keeps the watch securely fastened in the midst of sports activity.
The brushed finish of the new bracelet is a huge plus also, and it fully matches the sober tool watch aesthetic of the Panerai Luminor case. Should you still prefer a strap on this model, it won’t be a problem, as the bracelet can be easily interchanged in moments for your favorite leather, carbon fiber, or rubber strap.

This is nice and much cleaner looking than the old design.
Where can I get one of these newly designed brushed stainles bracelets for a 40mm luminor automatic and what is the price?

Its an improvement, no doubt. But ultimately Panerai is a watch that looks best on a strap. IMO.
