    Chronoswiss Wristmaster timepiece
The Chronoswiss Wristmaster watch is one serious piece of wrist ordnance. Featuring two separate watches (a watch, plus a dedicated chronograph timer) mounted on a stainless steel base plate, this watch literally covers a good part of the forearm, being over 80mm across and 42mm wide! Its inspired by the board timers which were a common feature in classic motorcars, something that Chronoswiss founder Gerd R. Lang is as passionate about as his watches.

  • Basel 2008: Breguet Heritage Tourbillon Watch Impresses With Stylishly Beautiful Design

    Breguet Heritage Tourbillon watch
Breguet’s new Heritage Tourbillon is an extremely beautiful watch, and the first tourbillon execution to appear in the tonneau-shaped Heritage collection. After so many wondrous tourbillons featured within the Classique watch format, its great to see Breguet introduce one in this elegant form.

I suspect that the more fluid grace of the Breguet Heritage Tourbillon watch will appeal to those who feel that some of the Classique tourbillon models are a bit too stuffy; make no mistake, this is no casual watch, but it has a beautifully flowing, stylish aspect that sets it apart from its more purely classical peers. I love the way that traditional Breguet elements such as the blued-steel pomme hands merge with newer design aspects, such as the raised exploded Roman numerals; a design maverick of his age, Abraham-Louis Breguet himself would doubtless be pleased by these expressive elements.

The tourbillon is extremely beautiful, with its strikingly original bridge design which takes the form of the Roman numeral six; this feature gives the dial great harmony, and keeps the tourbillon complication from appearing somewhat gaudy (something which “tourbillon mania” has produced in all too many watches that feature the illustrious complication). In my opinion, the Breguet Heritage Tourbillon watch is a powerful demonstration that the house of Breguet intends to keep the famous invention of its founder a source of pride and sublimely rendered horological artistry.

Basel 2008: Marco Bicego Jaipur NecklaceThis Marco Bicego semi-precious gemstone necklace is quite a beauty. Premiered at Basel World 2008, this Jaipur collection necklace is set with wonderful gemstones inspired by light – a prism cut allows these flawless gemstones to animate radiantly in any lighting. The stones are all from Jaipur, and are cut by the city’s highly experienced engravers, making organic and contemporary 18k pieces.

I love this necklace. It has the ideal mix of delicacy and boldness, lots of gold and colors from a range of amethyst, lemon citrin, blue topaz, rose and green tourmaline and green amethyst. Perfect for spring’s color and statement trends, but unique with one of a kind gemstones, this Marco Bicego necklace solidifies the brand’s hold on creating beautiful jewelry that women love.

  • New John Hardy Statement Necklace

New John Hardy Statement NecklaceThis John Hardy necklace is your key to the statement necklace spring trend.

We all saw the big, chunky, long, dramatic necklaces paired with cuff bracelets at the Oscars this year. It was just a matter of time before the fashion magazines and the fashion people were all buzzing about statement necklaces. One of the greatest things about statement necklaces is that it’s okay to wear them over our high neck dresses, shirts, and blouses.

I particularly like this John Hardy necklace because it’s bold without being bulky and delicate without being dull. It is definitely statement-worthy given its many strands and the bright bold color of the blue turquoise stones – turquoise! – another great color for spring! In addition, the juxtaposition of opaque stones with the shimmer of the sterling silver create a chic bohemian look – another spring trend! This necklace just fits in so well! You will want the matching Kali silver cuff bracelet for sure, and the earrings are a nice touch.

If you want a piece of jewelry that works for several of the spring fashion trends, and will grab you attention for being a bold and bright statement necklace, this John Hardy statement necklace is a sure bet!
