Chronoswiss Wristmaster timepiece
The Chronoswiss Wristmaster watch is one serious piece of wrist ordnance. Featuring two separate watches (a watch, plus a dedicated chronograph timer) mounted on a stainless steel base plate, this watch literally covers a good part of the forearm, being over 80mm across and 42mm wide! Its inspired by the board timers which were a common feature in classic motorcars, something that Chronoswiss founder Gerd R. Lang is as passionate about as his watches.

However, we are suddenly confronted with the question of practicality. Is a watch such as this going to be remotely wearable for many on even a semi-regular basis? Or will this Chronoswiss watch be more of a “Safemaster”, spending most of its time on winder, where its stunning and totally unique design can be enjoyed primarily on a vicarious level? The fact that the watches are removable from the plate via a bayonet clasp is a good thing, if the latter proves to be true.

Who knows? Perhaps fashionable women timepiece connoisseurs will take to the daring Chronoswiss Wristmaster. After all, its extremely broad bracelet-like design may make it the ultimate über-chic mechanical watch accessory. Time, as they say, will tell.
