You would have to look pretty far to find a bigger fan of Chopard’s L.U.C collection of manufacture-made watches than myself; as a hopeless fine watch “addict”, I have been entranced with the luxurious and rare movements in these Chopard timepieces since the collection first debuted back in the 1990’s. -

Kevin Spacey, seen here at IWC’s The Crossing event at SIHH in Geneva, is a star and producer of 21, in theaters now. Spacey, a longtime IWC fan (he self-produced a play for IWC’s event at last year’s SIHH), attended this year’s gala as a spectator, enjoying a multimedia performance with Cate Blanchett and Joseph Fiennes and a show by Legs On The Wall.In 21, Spacey plays the MIT professor who heads a group of mathematical geniuses on a winning spree through Las Vegas casinos. Preparing for the role was a grueling task of frequenting casinos and learning from Jeff Ma, one of the real life MIT math students who participated in the card counting ring. Inspired by the book “Bringing Down the House,” 21 follows the group in their schemes to win at blackjack, many times working together to count the cards, donning disguises and creating faux biographies for these alter-egos.
