Like many luxury watch and jewelry watch brands seeking to expand in the U.S. and internationally with new boutiques, Bulgari will be opening a 2,100-square-foot boutique in Lenox Square located in Atlanta this August. The new shop will feature their amazing, grand jewelry and fine accesories.
Assistant Vice President of Leasing for Simon Properties Group - which owns Lenox Square - Tisha Maley said luxury brands, especially European ones, are in a growth mode. With the dollar continuing to weaken, it seems European companies are taking advantage of that to expand here.
“I’ve seen no holding back or concerns about business from luxury retailers,” Maley said. “They are focused on long-term market strategies and, with the dollar low, they see now as a good time to grow.”
Michael Kors Lifestyle will open in Lenox Square in September and Valentino will open across the street at Phipps Plaza. The Kors Lifestyle shop in Atlanto is one among 16 Lifestyle store openings this year. The 3,000-square-foot Atlanta store will feature shoes, handbags and accessories and a small selection of ready-to-wear pieces.
“Atlanta is a dynamic and vibrant retail environment,” said John Idol, chief executive officer of Michael Kors USA Inc.
Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza are located in the affluent Buckhead neighborhood, 10 miles north of downtown - a perfect location for the new Bulgari, Michael Kors and Valentino specialty shops.
