Glashutte Original Senator Sixties Chronograph
Of the many tantalizing watches Glashütte Original has revealed to us at Baselworld this year, one of the most satisfying has to be the very handsome Senator Sixties Chronograph. Having been really taken with the Senator Sixties Automatic watch that debuted in 2007, I was pleasantly surprised by just how flawlessly the design can accommodate a chronograph; in fact, I may just like this watch even better as a chronograph than a simple automatic.

Glashütte Original’s choice to go with a two-counter design was extremely intelligent, and it gives the watch a very elegant, uncluttered look–that gracefully curved dial still has plenty of free space, but there is just a bit more to interest the eye.  This Glashütte Original timepiece will provide some strong competition to the well-established IWC Portuguese Chrono-Automatic, another chronograph wristwatch known and beloved for its elegant, distinguished design.
