Mothers Day is around the corner - what will you get your mom for the special day?

If your mom is not a fan of the traditional diamond jewelry, such as diamond pendants and diamond earrings, I recommend looking to gold as an alternative.  Gold is a rich metal with incredible luster that adds sophisticated and bold style to an daytime or evening outfit. 

One of my personal favorite gold jewelry designers is Henry Dunay.  With 50 years experience in the industry, Dunay has created an entirely new finish for gold.  His Sabi finish looks like the gold has been etched with tiny rakes - minute parallel lines cover the surface of the gold.  Some of his pieces are completely finished with the Sabi style, while other pieces are a mix of the Sabi finish and a high polish finish.

This pair of Henry Dunay gold earrings is one of my favorites.  I love the mix of Sabi and high polish and the curvaceous shape is sensuous, unusual and appealing.
