This Mother’s Day give Mom a special piece of Mikimoto jewelry and support breast cancer research at the same time. Mikimoto will donate 20% of the proceeds from the Everything is Possible with Hope jewelry collection, a collection inspired by the pink ribbon. The money will benefit the Young Survival Coalition (YSC), the only international, non-profit network of breast cancer survivors and supporters dedicated to young women.
The Everything is Possible with Hope collection includes the pearl pink ribbon necklace and earrings shown here as well as an all-pearl bracelet and a second pendant.
The YSC is urging for an effective breast cancer screening tool for women under 40 in addition to research and support for this younger population of breast cancer survivors. Women of all ages are encouraged to do self-exams for the cancer. The American Cancer Society recommends a mammogram screening every year for all women 40 and over, however, many women are discovering that early detection in their 30s offers an improved chance of remission.
This is the fourth year that Mikimoto - through the generous donation of these pink ribbon jewelry items - has contributed to breast cancer research and support and the YSC.
