Mariah Carey 17 Carat Ring from Nick Cannon

The Mariah Carey-Nick Cannon buzz continues on with the confirmation of the diamond engagement ring Cannon gave to her.  The ring was designed by Cannon and jeweler to the star Jacob Arabo of Jacob & Co, a jeweler well known and respected in the hip hop community. In the past, Jacob, commonly referred to as “Jacob the Jeweler,” has created jewelry for P. Diddy, Nelly, Nas, 50 Cent, Justin Timberlake, Karl Lagerfeld, Beyonce Knowles, and more. 

A statement from Jacob & Co. said that the ring is a one-of-a-kind, which seems to contradict earlier rumors that the Mariah Carey ring is the same ring that Cannon gave to his former fiance, Victoria Secret model Selita Ebanks.

The Mariah Carey ring features a staggering 17 carats of diamonds set in platinum and estimated to be valued at $2.5 million dollars.  The center diamond is a square, emerald-cut, fancy light-pink 10-carat diamond surrounded by 58 intense pink diamonds and two half moon-cut diamonds with a diamond accented shank. 

This is a gorgeous and radiant ring and any woman would be overjoyed to have it!  From the big smile seen on Mariah’s face recently, it is apparent that she is overjoyed herself.�
