The Ebel 1911 Tekton Chronograph is a great looking new sports watch. Ebel has done a fine job retaining the smooth, sculpted lines of the 1911 case–important to retaining the unmistakable character of a brand classic–yet given this watch some extremely exciting details that give it real stand apart appeal.
I love the dial of the Ebel 1911 Tekton Chronograph; combining cutaway sections that exposes mechanical elements, with bold colors and unusual pointer type functions, this timepiece definitely stands apart from so many attractive but somewhat mundane chronographs made by many other manufacturers. The in-house Ebel Caliber 139 movement is a major feather in this watch’s cap, as well.
Combine all of this with a beautiful attention to finish, and you have a chronograph watch which is at once daring, beautiful, and unusual. Ebel has done awesome things with the Tekton, and this watch is another telling indicator that this fine Swiss brand is well equipped to stay highly relevant within the competitive luxury timepiece sector for the 21st century.
