With their iléa watch, Baume & Mercier has again shown its penchant for creating elegant ladies timepieces which are appropriate across a range of situations, from casual, to business formal, to evening wear.  Harmonious and sensual, the iléa in its several variants is extremely graceful yet never appears “old fashioned”.  The versatility is outstanding, and there is really no wardrobe that these timepieces can’t accent well. 

I have always been impressed by the way Baume & Mercier utilizes tasteful diamond-setting to enhance the fundamental appeal of an already attractive design; with the iléa watch, this principle again applies.  You may prefer to have the version without diamonds, but the design seems so well suited for them that you may want to reconsider; that sparkling row of round brilliant diamonds really emphasizes the lovely flow of the bezel.
