Charlize Theron has been on the acting circuit for quite some time now, but Hancock is one of her bigger forays into the summer blockbuster realm. In the movie, Theron plays the wife of a PR agent, played by Jason Bateman, who tries to improve the public image of a careless superhero, played by Will Smith. Hancock opens on July 2nd, just in time for the Fourth of July weekend, and while Theron’s role in the movie has been downplayed in the trailers, her presence along the press junket line has definitely been felt.
The Oscar winner has been walking the red carpet in fabulous style, not too hard when you’re a spokesperson for Dior, which she is wearing here, at the brand’s cruise collection show. Theron, however, flies higher, picking ensembles that show she isn’t just a brand model, she’s an all-brands fashionista. At the world premiere of Hancock, held in Paris, Theron wore a white Dior dress with Neil Lane diamonds, also accented by a lime green clutch and nude colored graphic slingbacks. A fuschia Giambattisa Valli flower number paired with black patent heels fit the bill for the Moscow premiere, and at the London premiere, Theron wore a little black dress with dramatic thigh slit by Balenciaga, paired with matching diamond flower bracelets on both wrists and Christian Laboutin heels to finish the ensemble. At the film’s Berlin Premiere, Theron wore an asymmetrical Christian Lacroix dress with Neil Lane diamonds and Dior ankle booties, and at the MTV Movie Awards, she went with an edgier look, in a Proenza Schouler bustier and cropped skinny pants with Roger Vivier gladiator heels. While on the David Letterman Show, Theron donned a black Narcisco Rodriguez dress with strappy back details, worn with black heels and wore her hair long and flowing. Esquire’s 2007 Sexiest Woman Alive has her look nailed, and as she sweeps in from press event to premiere, she always looks polished and stunning. With an arsenal of top designers and killer genes, Charlize is a style icon, and if I were a fashion villain, I wouldn’t want to mess with her!
