Looking cool and calm at the Cannes Film Festival premiere of “Vicky Christina Barcelona,” directed by Hollywood veteran Woody Allen, are two actresses of the film, Penelope Cruz and Rebecca Hall. Adorned in Chopard jewelry, Penelope looks the part of a Spanish Grecian princess in her white draped gown. Her Chopard jewelry totaled 61 carats and included fancy-shaped diamond earrings with pear-shape drops (12-carats), a fancy-shaped diamond bracelet (43-carats) and an oval-shaped diamond cocktail ring (D color, internal flawless, and 6 carats) on her left hand. Indiana Jones Premieres at Cannes Film Festival
Posted on May 21st, 2008 2 comments
Cannes is in full swing and festival attendees were in for a real treat – the premiere of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. The film has been kept under heavy security and even when 300 production photos were stolen from production offices, Steven Spielberg and George Lucas were able to keep the movie’s secrets under wraps. Marking Spielberg’s first return to Cannes since E.T., the event was indeed a special one. Harrison Ford attended the premiere with Calista Flockhart on his arm. Flockhart wore a vibrant blue one shoulder gown from Marchesa, accessorized by Lorraine Schwartz earrings and a black clutch from Daniel Swarovski’s Red Carpet Collection. -

Posted on May 16th, 2008 No comments
Indiana Jones has a new arch nemesis, Soviet Union Agent Irina Spalko, played by Cate Blanchett, and on May 22nd the fans of the popular Indiana Jones trilogy will get to see their hero in his long awaited return. Of course, not without an evil-doer in his way. Irina Spalko has quite a mission ahead of her and with a wardrobe consisting of what looks to be a grey jumpsuit of sorts, paired with black leather gloves and a blunt short hair cut, this character’s appearance is a far cry from Blanchett’s red carpet ensembles.Blanchett has been an acting installment since she graduated from Australia’s National Institute of Dramatic Art in 1992. Since then we’ve watched her evolve into a red carpet genius, donning outfits – sometimes while very pregnant – by couture designers galore. She has said, “You can’t please everyone, but hopefully you’ll surprise people,” and we can tell she takes that fashion philosophy to heart, since we are always eagerly awaiting her arrivals on the red carpet.
