Audemars Piguet Millenary Precieuse Watch Charms Dancer Svetlana Zakharova
Posted on October 6th, 2009 No comments
While she certainly doesn’t need an exquisite luxury timepiece to enhance her prodigious natural poise and fluid grace, Svetlana Zakharova–principal dancer of the Bolshoi Ballet–certainly looks as if she were born to model the delightfully feminine Audemars Piguet Millenary Precieuse watch! Of course, Ms. Zakharova is one of Audemars Piguet’s newest ambassadors, having joined the brand when Audemars Piguet entered into it’s recently publicized artistic partnership with the prestigious Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow. Audemars Piguet Jules Audemars Manual Winding Ladies’ Watches

Among classic high luxury dress watches, few are more refined and beautiful than the Jules Audemars manual winding by Audemars Piguet. From the sublime perfection of the perfectly sculptured brushed case in 18K white or pink gold, to the lovely dials with their leaf shaped hands, every detail radiates quality–heirloom quality. While the men’s models are certainly wearable for many women and look great on them, the ladies have some exquisite choices exclusively for them, in this collection. Possessing the same über-classical design, but in smaller 29mm format, these timepieces house hand-wound mechanical movements that are among the finest available in the world of high-end watchmaking. Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 15202 “Jumbo” Watch In Pink Gold
Posted on August 3rd, 2009 No comments
Among devotees of Gerald Genta’s most enduring watch designs, the original ultra-thin Audemars Piguet Royal Oak watch–often affectionately called “the Jumbo”–is perhaps the most revered. I can tell you that’s its always been one of my watch grails, which I see as perhaps the ultimate all-round luxury timepiece. The recent addition of pink gold as a metal choice has produced what is-in my humble opinion-the most opulent interpretation of Audemars Piguet’s enduring and unmistakable high luxury sports watch. The Audemars Piguet Grande Complication watch is without question one of the world’s most extraordinary examples of the traditional watchmaking arts. With its flawless classical beauty and extraordinarily complex mechanical movement driving a perpetual calendar, a split-seconds chronograph and a minute repeater, the “Grand Comp” (as it is affectionately known by many of its fans) summarizes the very essence Audemars Piguet’s horological achievements. This becomes apparent while viewing a charming new Audemars Piguet mini-movie (click here to access it). In the lovely presentation, the Grande Complication becomes a clear symbol of unity between the house’s distinguished beginnings and its equally promising present and future. Continue Reading… » -

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Chronographs From SIHH 2009: Hot, Hot, Hot

“Stainless steel with silver, and titanium with anthracite.” While not the biggest news from Audemars Piguet from SIHH 2009 (that honor would probably go to the insanely awesome Jules Audemars watch with the AP escapement), the addition of some very nice Royal Oak Offshore chronograph variants definitely caught my eye and renewed my appreciation for AP’s legendary sports watch collection. -
Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Survivor: Sure To Induce Collector Mania!

The Audemars Piguet Offshore collection never fails to amaze me with its continual ability to keep collectors salivating. As soon as a watch fan gets his or her hands on a particularly rare model (for example, the forged carbon Team Alinghi, or the Juan Pablo Montoya) Audemars Piguet will bring out something novel that manages to be even more spectacular or sought after. The Royal Oak Offshore has been around for well over a decade, and yet, we see a tireless evolution in materials and variances in the basic design concept that keep excitement fresh. Who says you can’t have it all?
