Can you have a fashion show with models looking incomplete? I don’t think so. In addition to the clothes, styles must be complete with watches when merited. The latest Fashion Week saw designer Michael Bastian choosing Piaget as the watch brand of choice for his models while displaying his Spring men’s fashion collection.

One of the things I’ve always admired about the house of Piaget, is their ability to craft unique and bespoke creations for their clientele. I’m reminded of a great (true) story about Piaget creating a series of one-off timepieces for a sheik who wanted each of the 32 (!) ladies in his harem to have a unique watch based on the specific wallpaper in her own room in his palace! Pretty incredible, but it does illustrate Piaget’s dedication to extraordinary luxury. One piece unique concept that Piaget offers today, which enables you to obtain a watch truly unlike any out there, is the Altiplano “Fingerprint Motif”. Continue Reading… »

Piaget watches and jewelry are a hot accessory on the wrists of various celebrities, both men and women, on and off the red carpets of major industry events. Joining such Piaget devotees as actress Zoe Saldana and pop star Rihanna (who made Piaget products a virtual co-star of a music video), is Ryan Reynolds–who showed up at the LA premiere of “Adventureland” in the newly introduced Piaget Polo Forty-Five watch. The reputation of Piaget as a creator of exquisite luxury watches for women is ironclad. Classic yet not stodgy, brilliantly creative, and beautifully crafted, the Piaget ladies collection is superb across the range of collections. One of Piaget’s newer watch designs I’m particularly drawn to is the Possession. Continue Reading… »

SIHH 2009 saw some very attractive product debuts from Swiss watchmaker Piaget. In addition to the talked-about sporty introductions to the iconic Polo watch line, Piaget debuted some appealing new models of the Emperador Cushion model, including this very elegant regulator with a lively retrograde seconds complication.

Piaget’s Emperador Cushion stands out as one of the most appealing dress watch designs in the high luxury segment–somehow classical and contemporary at the same time, it is pure Piaget in its fine execution and attention to detail. With the impending introduction of the Emperador Cushion Grande Luna, the classical moon phase complication gets a presentation that is most worthy.

The Piaget Limelight Magic Hour watch is a beautiful dress timepiece, that conceals a surprising and delightful secret–three of them, in fact. Thanks to its bezel mechanism, you can literally alter the appearance of your Magic Hour with a twist of your fingers. It can be a vertical oval, a horizontal oval, or a diagonal oval; exquisitely designed by Piaget, each orientation looks perfectly natural–as if it could only have been conceived in that one form. The Piaget Emperador Cushion Perpetual Calendar is a great new addition to the fine lineup of this distinguished Swiss brand. A perpetual calendar complication combined with a dual-timezone function is quite unusual, and that alone makes this Piaget timepiece extremely attractive. I also admire the eccentric displays, particularly the overlapping retrograde date Continue Reading… »

The Piaget Altiplano Petit Seconds watch is a beautiful addition to Piaget’s outstanding collection of dress timepieces. At 40mm in diameter, this one should be a super dress watch for the modern man, attracting more interested buyers than the established 38mm size that has come to define the Altiplano Large.

Simply amazing, this Piaget ladies’ watch is a marvel to the eye. Fashioned after a cuff bracelet with corset detailing, this watch incorporates those inspirations with an almost hidden watch dial, making an all encompassing and astonishing fashion statement of diamonds.
