Glashutte Original Sports Evolution watches – More German Engineering to Rave About

Enthusiasts of sports watches have much to get excited about in the offerings of Glashutte Original . The updated and much expanded Sport Evolution collection gives the watch lover some of the finest all-around sports luxury timepieces on the market, which strike a near flawless balance between durability, water resistance, function, and superb attention to finishing detail.

One of the most striking examples of exactly how much attention Glashutte Original pays to fine nuances, is in the truly excellent bracelets which grace these watches. Of course the craftsmanship is superb, but more than that, the engineering is impressive, with a unique and extremely charming invisible extension system (which can be deployed WHILE on your wrist) that will leave you saying, “why can’t ALL bracelets be like this one?”

I love the classic Sport Evolution Panorama Date model, which is one of the most handsome dive watches of recent times, it’s black dial with a few red accents recalling some classic dive watches from the past, particularly (to my eye, at least) the famous Ref. 1680 Rolex “Red” Submariner from the 1970’s. However, Glashutte Original’s new Sport Evolution GMT watch has also caught my eye, having the same excellent panorama date complication as its sibling, but adding to that an extremely user friendly GMT display with an independent hour hand and rotating bezel, allowing three time zone functionality. For watch lovers who travel, this timepiece should be a sensational choice.
