Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Watch

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak is a unique and classic sports watch. The Royal Oak was first developed for Audemars Piguet in the 1970's by the famous timepiece designer Gerald Genta. The Royal Oak has a signature octagonal shaped case. This case has a bezel that is held in by eight screws.

The Royal Oak has a very aggressive and technical look. Audemars Piguet produces the Royal Oak in all steel, steel and gold, or 18 carat yellow gold. Both versions are striking, but the gold version clearly stands out in a crowd. You can choose from several different complications, sizes and dial colors.

The Royal Oak automatic is the base level version. It features an hour, minute and second hand as well as a date window. Next in the lineup is the chronograph featuring hour, minute, and seconds hands plus three sub dials for the chrono minutes, hours and seconds. Audemars also manufacturers an annual calendar and a perpetual calendar for collectors seeking more complicated pieces. The Perpetual Calendar model includes a moon phase indicator.

Audemars Piguet completes the Royal Oak collection with the Automatic Grande Complication. This timepiece is truly a work of art. The AP Grande Complication features a perpetual calendar, showing the day, date, month, leap years, moon phases and weeks. In addition this timepiece incorporates a minute repeater and split seconds chronograph.

Audemars also create both men’s and a ladies line of Royal Oaks. There are several different case sizes ranging from 36MM to 40MM. AP has perfected the art of dial making and offers several different styles and colors.
