Chanel has announced the introduction of a new ceramic and 18K gold J-12 watch which contains an exclusive self-winding mechanical movement. The new Chanel J12 timepiece will contain the 3125 caliber, a movement manufactured by
Audemars Piguet and closely based upon the acclaimed 3120 caliber which is used in certain Audemars Piguet watches.
Boasting 45 jewels, a ceramic and gold central rotor, and bi-directional winding, the 3125 caliber movement offers many desirable technical features, including a 60-hour power reserve, and a free-sprung balance supported on a bridge. This new Chanel J12 watch measures 42mm in diameter, and is equipped with a sapphire crystal display back to facilitate viewing of the movement.
