Basel 2008: Breguet Power Reserve Moonphase Watch Ref. 7137BA/11/9V6

The Breguet Classsique watch collection will feature a new model.  The Breguet Ref. 7137BA/11/9V6 timepiece features a 39mm 18K yellow gold case, which is fitted with sapphire crystals on both front and back.  Impeccably crafted, it features soldered lugs with screwed strap bars, and a finely fluted caseband.  Water resistance is rated at 30 meters.

Movement is the self-winding Breguet 502.3 DR1 caliber, which features a Breguet balance with a 21,600 vph balance frequency; power reserve is 45 hours.  The central winding mass is crafted from 18K gold, and decorated with an intricate pattern hand-engraved on a rose engine.  The caliber, which has been meticulously adjusted in 6 positions, and elaborately decorated by the Breguet artisans, features several classic complications: the power reserve, moon phase indication, and a pointer-style date.  

These complications are all elegantly laid out on the silvered 18K gold dial, whose organization and intricate engine-turned decoration embodies the spirit of classic Breguet timepieces; the famous Breguet hands are crafted from steel, their lustrous blue color the result of traditional fire roasting.  This Breguet watch is also available in 18K white gold.  Both versions are fitted with a crocodile strap and an 18K gold buckle.
