Basel 2008: Chronoswiss Grand Opus Chronograph Watch

The Chronoswiss Grand Opus Chronograph watch presents collectors with a slightly larger version of a true Chronoswiss watch classic.  Introduced in the 1990's to great acclaim, the Opus Chronograph has come to define the "fascination of mechanics" that is Chronoswiss's motto.

Measuring 41mm in diameter, the Chronoswiss Grand Opus Chronograph is three millimeters larger than its sibling.  To further distinguish the Grand Opus watch, Chronoswiss has designed a new bezel, which departs somewhat from the typical knurled appearance that has become a signature of the house; it retains the fluting only on the sides, while featuring a fine polish on the top.  Sapphire crystals fitted to both sides of the watch enable a fascinating view through the skeletonized solid silver dial, into the intricate openworked chronograph mechanism. The caliber is the C.741 S, which displays chronograph minutes, hours, elapsed seconds, and the date.
Balance wheel frequency is 28,800 vph, and the caliber's power reserve is 46 hours.

The Chronoswiss Grand Opus Chronograph watch is available in 18K red gold or stainless steel; an alligator strap, fitted with a steel or gold buckle completes the ensemble.  Water resistance of this Chronoswiss timepiece is 30 meters.
