Basel 2008: Patek Philippe Ref. 5167/1A Aquanaut Watch

The Patek Philippe Aquanaut watch is available with a subtly redesigned bracelet for 2008.  The new bracelet, which features a large satin-finished center link, enhances the casually elegant design of this popular Patek Philippe sport collection.  Designated as the Ref. 5167/1A, this Aquanaut watch features a 40mm stainless steel case, the distinctive grid-pattern dial with luminous figures, and a protected screw down crown.  Sapphire crystals are fitted to both sides of the watch, and water resistance is rated at a robust 120 meters.

The manufacture 324SC caliber animates the Patek Philippe Aquanaut Ref. 5167/1A.  This self-winding movement, which features a central 21K gold rotor, has a 45 hour power reserve, and offers a date display that can be rapidly adjusted via the crown. Beating at 28,800 alternations per hour, the freely-sprung balance wheel is of the Gyromax design, and features 8 masselotte-type weights.  The 324SC displays 'Cotes de Geneve' and anglage finishing on the bridges, and circular graining on the plate; the fine decorative detail and meticulous construction has earned the caliber the Geneva Seal.
