Pre-Basel 2008: Movado Museum Watch Limited Edition Movado will present a limited edition variant of their famous Museum Watch at this year's Baselworld exhibition. Presented in a 45mm 18K rose gold case, this Movado timepiece features a sapphire crystal caseback window that allows viewing of the ETA-Unitas manual winding movement which is decorated with Cotes de Geneve finishing and engraved with a "Movado Factories" inscription.   This special Museum Watch also features a small red-framed dial cutout, complete with an M-shaped bridge that bears the sub seconds hand.  25 pieces will be manufactured.

The Movado Museum watch first debuted in 1947; its famous minimalist design was the brainchild of Bauhaus-inspired designer Nathan George Horwitt, who had presented the design to various watch firms, before it was accepted by Movado.  The Movado Museum watch is celebrated as an example of modern art in watch design, its name stemming from its 1960's acceptance by the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
