Pre-Basel 2008: Svend Anderson Montre A Tact Poker Watch

Renowned independent watchmaker and AHCI co-founder Svend Andersen will present a charming new version of his famed Montre A Tact wristwatch, which displays hours in a semi-circular window on top of the case, as well as in a discrete location between the lower case lugs.

The Svend Andersen Montre A Tact Poker watch follows in the master's tradition of presenting unusual and artistic dials. This version presents a miniature reproduction of a painting by Cassius Marcellus Coolidge that depicts a group of dogs playing poker.  The rotating disc below the miniature painting bears a rotating hour wheel, which cleverly displays the hours (and approximate minutes) by means of various hands of poker.
