The new TAG Heuer Aquaracer 500M Calibre 5 watch carries on the well-established proficiency of TAG Heuer in the field of professional water-sport timepieces.  Characterized by a stylish and bold design, impressive dimensions and uncompromising construction for performance under pressure, this Aquaracer model becomes a perfect companion for individuals seeking an exceptional and uncompromising sports timepiece.  

Wrought from brushed stainless steel, the TAG Heuer Aquaracer 500M Caliber 5 case measures a robust 43mm in diameter.  The strong impression imparted by this case is accentuated by strong integral shoulders protecting the doubly insulated screw-down winding crown, and an intricately detailed rotating bezel displaying a series of knurled tabs for improved grip, and brushed numbers set within circular-patterned rubber molding.  Black, silver, or blue dials display an intricate line pattern, and broad stick-type hour markers applied with luminous material; the baton hands and tip of the seconds hand have the same treatment.  

The date appears in a window at 9 o'clock, beneath a magnifying lens that is integrated with the flat sapphire crystal.  To ensure the utmost suitability for the demanding requirements of professional divers operating at great depths, the case features an automatic helium release valve. A sports timepiece worthy of the title demands a robust and unquestionably reliable movement.  Accordingly, the TAG Heuer Aquaracer 500M watch houses the self-winding ETA 2836-2 caliber.  Visible through a sapphire crystal window in the screw-locked steel caseback, this time-tested mechanical caliber shows off circular graining decoration on the bridges, and a Cotes de Geneve pattern on the central winding rotor.  The large glucydur balance vibrates 28,800 times per hour.  Power reserve is approximately 42 hours.  

In addition to the all-stainless steel model pictured, the TAG Heuer Aquaracer 500M watch is also available in a "Steel & Gold" variant which features the unidirectional bezel in 5N 18-karat rose gold in conjunction with a black dial.  All versions of the timepiece are water resistant to 500 meters and feature rubber dive straps, or stainless steel bracelets with an integral dive extension and a system of safety push-buttons.
