The Capeland Collection by Baume & Mercier

The Baume Mercier Capeland is a true sports watch. The Capeland collection is an excellent alternative for someone looking for an elegant yet sporty looking watch who does not want to wear what everyone else is wearing. Baume Mercier has been consistently improving the Capeland over the last few years adding new features, dial colors and bezel options.

The base level Capeland features an automatic movement with a seconds sub dial and a date window. This watch has a smooth unidirectional rotating bezel which adds a sporty flavor to the watch. The next version is a chronograph which features a screw down crown and three sub dials for the seconds, minutes and hours. Baume was careful to stay with classic dial color combinations for the Capeland, offering a white on white, black and white, and gray dial for the men’s Capeland collection.

Baume Mercier made a smart decision when they decided to offer the Capeland in three different case sizes. This makes it much easier for the consumer to find the right case size for their wrist. The Capeland is available in a small (36MM), medium (39MM), and a large (41MM) size. Baume further simplified the selection process for the Capeland by extending the sizes into the Ladies collection.

The Baume Mercier Capeland is available in an all steel version or a two tone steel and gold version. The two tone model features a very handsome gold bezel, gold crown and gold pushers for the chrono. These gold accents give the Capeland a dressy edge. The strap and bracelet combinations also offer the consumer a choice. You can choose between a leather strap, steel bracelet, and a rubber bracelet. The ladies Capeland models are available with a white or pink leather strap.
