Palladium Hopes to Hurdle to the Front of the Class

Have you noticed the increasing use of the traditionally unusual metal palladium?

Currently, several jewelry designers and manufacturers use palladium in the collections: Cartier, Christian Bauer, Beaudry and Scott Kay (on the right in the image), Furrer Jacot (on the left in the image).

Now, if the new, multi-year global palladium campaign of the Palladium Alliance International (PAI) succeeds, we will see more collections making use of the precious metal. The PAI has hired DJS Marketing for the campaign which has a two-fold aim: one, to educate trade professionals worldwide about palladium and two, to target consumers.

PAI Chariman John Stark stated in a media release, "2007 was a record year for palladium, rebounding from 2006 with significant growth in China and the United States. We are forecasting continued growth in 2008 as a result of our strong commitment to focus on the jewelry industry."

The PAI is an organization dedicated to establishing palladium as a luxurious, precious and distinctive metal. It was founded in March 1996.
