Blancpain Leman Chronograph watch

The Blancpain Leman Chronograph watch is a distinguished timepiece that features the popular chronograph complication. The Leman collection, always a perennial favorite amongst the various watch collections offered by the Manufacture Blancpain, displays classical style with just a touch of elegant sportiness. Like the other members of the Leman watch collection, the Blancpain Leman Chronograph watch is water resistant to 100 meters, courtesy of its well-insulated case with a screwed-in back, and screwed-down crown and chronograph pushers.

The Blancpain Leman Chronograph watch is animated by a very fine selfwinding movement, the Calibre 1185. A creation of Blancpain's integral movement specialist Frederic Piguet, the Calibre 1185 has a chronograph function that is operated by a column-wheel--a traditional technical detail that has long been associated with chronographs of the highest quality and execution. The vertical clutch of this movement ensures that the start and stop sequence of the chronograph function is smooth and without any "flutter", a characteristic that occasionally manifests itself with chronograph timepieces. The Calibre 1185 movement found in the Blancpain Leman Chronograph watch also has a quick-set date mechanism, and a power reserve of approximately 40 hours; each of the 304 pieces of the mechanism have been painstakingly finished by hand, before being assembled and adjusted by a single Blancpain watchmaker.

The Blancpain Leman chronograph watch is presented in a classically shaped round 38mm case, made from stainless steel or 18K yellow gold, bearing the distinct stepped bezel that is a subtle characteristic of all Blancpain wristwatches, and it is available on either a finely crafted crocodile strap with a tang buckle, or an alternative metal bracelet, whose carefully fitted brushed and polished elements have been refined by extensive hand finishing.
