Blancpain Leman Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar watch

The Blancpain Leman Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar watch is a classically styled timepiece that unites two prestigious high complications. Featuring a flying one minute tourbillon, and a perpetual calendar that indicates day of the week, date, month, and leap year, the Leman Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar watch is an ideal representation of the exceptional watchmaking that is the heart of the Manufacture Blancpain.

A glance at the intricate dial of the Blancpain Leman Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar watch gives hint of its impressive degree of complication---the tourbillon, seen at 12 o'clock through the aperture in the dial completes one rotation per minute; being a "flying" tourbillon (being affixed to the plate on one side, rather than by a bridge), its intricate construction can be admired in great detail, as its intricate tourbillon carriage, bearing the balance wheel and the components of the escapement seems to float in space, virtually unassisted.

The perpetual calendar mechanism is clearly laid out, with day of the week at 3 o'clock, and the date at 9. A glance at six o'clock reveals the months of the year, and within that circle can be seen a small aperture that bears the proper leap year. Between 3 and 5, an arc shaped power-reserve indicator shows the status of the watch's remaining power, which reaches an impressive 8-days when fully wound. The Blancpain Leman Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar watch derives its masterful technique from its 5625 Calibre movement, an exclusive mechanism unique to Blancpain, that comprises 308 individually hand finished pieces.

The rich traditional Cotes de Geneve, and anglage finishes applied to the bridges and gold winding rotor of this mechanical work of art can be viewed through the exhibition sapphire caseback, and highlight the pride that Blancpain's talented watchmakers justifiably take in their dedicated work. The Blancpain Leman Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar watch is available in both 18K red gold and 18K white gold, both versions being completed with a fine white dial with gold faceted hour markers and skeletonized hands, and a crocodile strap complete with an 18K gold deployant clasp.
