Basel 2008: Breguet Grande Complication Minute Repeater Perpetual Calendar Watch

One of the most exquisite Breguet Grande Complication watches is now available in an 18K rose gold version.  The Breguet Minute Repeater Perpetual Calendar watch, Ref. 5447BR/1E/9V6, joins the existing platinum model.  This timepiece features a complex, hand-wound movement which has been adjusted in the six traditional positions, and meticulously decorated. It showcases a minute repeater in combination with a perpetual calendar that indicates day, retrograding date, month, leap year, and phases of the moon.  The minute repeater chimes--upon demand--the hours, quarters, and individual minutes, via finely tuned gongs.  The balance wheel is fitted with adjustable screws and a traditional Breguet overcoil; it beats at 18,000 alterations per hour.  Power reserve is 40 hours.  

The Breguet Grande Complication Minute Repeater Perpetual Calendar has a rose gold case that measures 40mm in diameter; it features a finely fluted caseband, soldered gold lugs, and gold strap bars which are screwed.  Crafted from silvered 18K gold, the dial is a masterwork of the guillocheur, featuring several distinct engine-turned patterns which are achieved through rose-engine hand engraving.  The strap is in alligator, and fitted with a rose gold buckle.  

A white gold version will also be available, according to Breguet press information.
