Breguet Haute Joaillerie Minute Repeater Watch

The Breguet Ref. 7639 watch does not have a name nearly as sexy as the watch itself. This is the richest form of both external and internal decadence from the king of traditional watch makers. There is no need to point out the incredible exterior of this Breguet Haute Joaillerie (high jewelry) men’s watch covered with 178 baguette cut diamonds on the case, 392 princess cut diamonds on the face, a single diamond on the crown, and 42 more diamonds on the strap clasp and buckle. That makes for a total of 18 carats of diamonds. The watch is very large for Breguet standards at 44.5mm wide all in 18k white gold.

Inside the watch is another lovely thing, which is the completely hand decorated Breguet caliber 567/2 manually wound minute repeater movement. The decorations are all musically themed, and the minute repeater utilizes a complex system of gongs and hammers to harmonically “repeat” the time back to you. The minute repeater function is hidden from view, but watch lovers “in the know” will recognize the special lever on the left side of the watch case used to operate the high complication.

Traditional Breguet styling and hands serve to frame the completely diamond studded approach to this classic looking timepiece. Sitting at the top of the luxury watch spectrum, the Breguet ref. 7639 is priced at 1,000,000 Swiss Francs.
