During his recent visit to North Yorkshire to open the historic Royal Hall in Harrogate, H.R.H. The Prince of Wales was given a beautiful Breguet watch by a sponsor of the lauded restoration effort. Ben Ogden, director of Ogden of Harrogate jewelers, accompanied by two
Breguet representatives presented the Prince with an
18K yellow gold Breguet watch, Ref. 3680BA, which features regulator hours, date, and power reserve indicator. The back of the timepiece was engraved with the Prince's seal and an inscription that commemorates his upcoming 60th birthday.
Prince Charles was pleased to learn of Breguet's history, and the brand's emphasis on traditional hand craftsmanship. He also expressed his admiration of Breguet and fellow Swatch Group brands for promoting a new generation of watchmakers, artisans, and other skilled craftspeople.
Prince Charles will join a distinguished list of British royalty who have owned Breguet watches over the centuries, including King George IV, and Queen Victoria.
