BASELWORLD 2007 Fashion shows

As we all know, many luxury watch and jewelry companies are full of artisans who create magnificent pieces that bring out emotion and passion in all of us. When they come to Basel they do their best to project that image in order to help you understand their brand.

One of the ways they accomplish this is by putting on shows for us. Today I was lucky enough to attend a few. In essence these were fashion shows with beautiful models showcasing beautiful products.

This afternoon I happened to go into De Grisogono right when they were having a fashion show. They had some very attractive models displaying some of their finest watches and jewelry. De Grisogono is a very lavish brand with a very specific look to everything they design. I would describe their jewelry as exotic and outlandish and would describe their watches as distinctly extravagant and unique.

De Grisogono only deals in precious gemstones so what I saw literally blew my mind. Each of the models in the show had at least one million dollars in jewelry on during the exhibition. I made sure to grab some photos to show you some of the most elaborate sets of jewelry I have ever seen.

Later on in the day I was lucky enough to get into the Chopard fashion show which was outstanding. It was kicked off by none other then Karl and Carolina Scheufele who actively run the business and are the children of Fredrick Scheufele, the president of Chopard.

It showcased Chopard's latest product line in watches and jewelry. In jewelry, their main focus was their Happy Bubbles collection. This is a collection inspired by soap bubbles and is a very whimsical jewelry line. In watches, they have a few new pieces in the Mille Miglia and L.U.C collection. The show was nothing short of spectacular and was enjoyed by all.
