Pre-Basel 2008: Chopard Mille Miglia Gran Turismo XL GMT Watch

The Chopard Mille Miglia Gran Turismo XL GMT watch will join Chopard's popular Mille Miglia collection of racing inspired timepieces.  Crafted from stainless steel or 18K rose gold, the 44mm case of this new Chopard watch is fitted with a convex sapphire crystal, and a screw-down winding crown decorated with the Mille Miglia Arrow insignia.  The black or slate grey dials feature a central section which depicts the globe, over which the 24-hour GMT hand travels.   Water resistance is 100 meters.

The Chopard Mille Miglia Gran Turismo XL GMT watch is animated by a self-winding Swiss movement which features a power reserve of approximately 46 hours, and a balance wheel frequency of 28,800 alternations per hour.  Its functions include an adjustable GMT display for a second time zone, the date, and a stop seconds device.  The movement has obtained COSC chronometer certification.

Chopard will offer the Mille Miglia Gran Turismo XL GMT watch in 18K rose gold with a slate grey dial, or stainless steel with a black dial.  Straps are in barrenia leather or rubber, the latter of which is embossed with a pattern recalling a 1960's Dunlop racing tire pattern.  A steel or 18K gold folding clasp is fitted.
