Basel 2008: Chronoswiss Grand Lunar Chronograph Watch

The Chronoswiss Grand Lunar Chronograph watch reinterprets a luxurious and charming Chronoswiss classic--the Lunar Chronograph.  Larger than its predecessor by three millimeters, this new model provides those who appreciate substantial timepieces a superbly crafted object of mechanical intricacy and expressive beauty.

Manufactured from stainless steel or 18K gold, the Chronoswiss Grand Lunar Chronograph measures 41mm in diameter; sapphire crystals are fitted to both sides of the watch.  To go along with the larger size, Chronoswiss has designed a striking new bezel whose polished upper surface departs from the entirely fluted design that has characterized many Chronoswiss timepieces.  The dial is made from .925 sterling silver, and decorated with intricate engine-turned engraved patterns; Arabic numerals adorn the outer edge, along with second subdivisions calibrated to the quarter second.

The Chronoswiss Grand Lunar Chronograph watch is animated by the Chronoswiss Caliber C.755.  This self-winding caliber indicates small seconds, and chronograph hours and minutes, as well as a rotating moonphase indicator.  A sapphire crystal window in the caseback permits a view of the movement's refined details, which include a skeletonized gilt rotor that bears the Chronoswiss brand symbol.  Power reserve of the mechanism is 46 hours.

The Chronoswiss Grand Lunar Chronograph watch is water resistant to 30 meters.  Screwed strap bars affix the luxurious straps, which are made from alligator and fitted with a buckle in steel or 18K red gold.
