Chronoswiss Opens Its First US Boutique In NYC's SoHo District
Chronoswiss has fully arrived in the United States! The luxury watch brand founded by chronograph master Gerd R. Lang in 1983 has established its first American boutique, which opened with fanfare in New York City on November 9th. Located in the popular SoHo district at 339 West Broadway, the boutique has much of the character and charm inherent in the Chronoswiss timepieces themselves. Unpainted red brick distinguishes both the outer facade and inner spaces of the store, while large glass windows--rather like the display back of a fine timepiece--encourage viewers to take a closer look inside the fascinating Chronoswiss world of hand-crafted mechanical watches. Directly above the boutique is a large image of the classical Lunar Chronograph, one of the most beloved and iconic Chronoswiss creations.

In creating the welcoming environment for its New York store, Chronoswiss sought the artistic talents and discerning eye of Kristen Farrell, a well-respected jewelry designer and goldsmith. Visitors entering the boutique will find the Chronoswiss collection of timepieces very well represented in the naturally-finished wood display cabinets, from sporty references in the Timemaster series to beloved classics like the famous Delphis with its jumping hour function and retrograde minutes. Difficult to obtain limited edition models and complicated watches will also be a regular display feature.

"We are proud of having a particularly selective retail network that emphasizes on the personal relationship with our authorized retail partners, said Hartmut Kraft, President of Chronoswiss North America. "Having our own Manhattan outlet will increase further Chronoswiss brand recognition and add to the strong retail position with our nationwide partners."

For December 2nd, Chronoswiss has planned a grand opening ceremony to celebrate the SoHo boutique opening. The festivities, which will host VIPs, passionate members of the watch collector community, and other friends and partners of the brand, begin at 7:00 PM and conclude four hours later. For its normal (and current) weekly schedule, the boutique is open to the public from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Monday through Saturday, and on Sundays from Noon to 6:00 PM.

"The timing of the opening, right before the holidays, couldn't be better and New York City is the ideal market for holiday shopping," continued Mr. Kraft. "We are very excited about this exceptional partnership with Kristen Farrell that enabled us to open up a boutique only one year after the brand's groundbreaking restructuring in the US market."
