Sybil Yurman of David Yurman Jewelry to Receive Honor from The Women's Jewelry Association
The Women's Jewelry Association has announced that Sybil Yurman will be named the 2008 Hall of Fame Lifetime Achievement Honoree at its 25th annual Awards for Excellence this year.

As the president and chief marketing officer, and wife and partner, of David Yurman, Sybil Yurman has been instrumental in the success of the company since its inception in 1970. Her work involves contributing to its advertising campaigns featuring black-and-white-images of David Yurman jewelry, especially the signature David Yurman bracelets, on fashion icons such as Kate Moss, Amber Valetta, Naomi Watts and Natalia Vodianova.  Sybil stated she is "thrilled" to accept this award from the WJA, she stated in a media release, who has "nurtured the careers of hundreds of women through its many activities, educational conferences, scholarship programs and networking opportunities. The jewelry industry would not be the same without this important organization."

Business partner and husband David Yurman said, "Sybil Yurman is a true muse, partner and businesswoman. Sculptors tend to focus on form. She opened my eyes to a wider creative process."

The Yurman's have moved on to humanitarian endeavors with the founding of their Humanitarian and Arts Foundations in an effort to provide great support to various organizations such as YouthAIDS and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
