The David Yurman Renaissance Collection
May 9, 2008
Like all of the David Yurman collections, the design Renaissance collection has evolved. At one time, the overall look and feel had a Henry VII gold emphasis: big, colorful gemstones were set in bold gold for a masculine and heavy look.
The current David Yurman Renaissance collection is a much softer approach to Renaissance inspired jewelry with a decidedly feminine appeal and style. Gone are the hefty gold and the overwhelming stones. Gone are the red garnet and rubellite tourmaline stones. Instead, the collection features sterling silver with stones of a smaller size but in greater number; stones of different shapes, such as the pear-shaped and oval instead of triangles; and, a great variety of colors, such as sage green, sky blue, lavender purple, dark pink, and amber orange. Finally, the new generation of the collection features more of the David Yurman signature twisted cable design in its pieces. br> The latest additions to the David Yurman Renaissance collection are the half-moon pendants available with hematite and white agate, topaz and amethyst, or all topaz; the teardrop pendants available in either black onyx or blue topaz; and, the Renaissance pendants available in rose quartz, citrine, and peridot or smoky quartz, citrine, and peridot or all topaz. br> The David Yurman Renaissance collection maintains the Renaissance period inspiration while truly updating the period style jewelry to reflect a contemporary flair with the added twisted cable details for a look that could only be David Yurman.
