
After three years as the queen of Di Modolo, Tea Leoni has finally been dethroned. Founder and designer Dino Modolo and President and CEO Benny Shabtai have chosen the beautiful
Catherine Zeta-Jones as their new ambassador.
Di Modolo celebrated their new ambassador at their New York City boutique. Catherine wore a purple strapless knee-length dress with a waist band with her hair gracefully swept back off her face to show off her dainty diamond drop earrings and diamond drop necklace. Here, Catherine takes a moment to pose at an Elizabeth Arden event, another brand for which is, and has been for several years, the chosen spokesperson. She credits the Elizabeth Arden Prevage anti-aging cream for her youthful skin and brilliant glow. Mr. Shabtai commented that Mrs. Zeta-Jones "embodies a natural radiance and international appeal that is an ideal match with our brand." In return, she commented, "I am delighted to be working with Di Modolo. The collections strike a perfect balance between classic glamour and cutting edge beauty."
At the gala event, the designer also unveiled another new addition to the Di Modolo family: a timepiece collection. The Tempia designed timepieces will have a similar look and feel to the Tempia jewelry collection. The arrival of a watch collection from Mr. Modolo was only a matter of time given that he has designed timepiece collections for many other leading and prestigious watch brands. The classically elegant timepieces will range in price from $12,500 to $50,000.
If those two reasons were not enough to celebrate, Di Modolo also announced their new Di Modolo Haute Couture jewelry collection featuring brilliant, large and rare diamonds from DD Manufacturing (DDM). The Haute Couture collection will be primarily singular, exclusive or limited edition jewelry items.
Pictures of the Tempia watch collection and the Haute Couture collection have yet to be seen. The Di Modolo print campaign featuring Catherine Zeta-Jones will debut in the upcoming November issues of the leading fashion and lifestyle publications including W, Vogue, In Style and Town and Country. At the time of the writing of this article, Di Modolo had not updated their website to reflect these three new additions.
Since their founding in 2001, the luxury brand has steadily received more and more attention. At their beginning, they created delicate and dainty pieces of yellow gold and white gold with white diamond accents. Now, with a new ambassador, a new Tempia watch collection and a new high jewelry collection, Di Modolo continues to expand its horizons and join the prestigious rank of many Italian, French and American luxury jewelry designers.
