Ebel Tekton Chronograph Watches For Prestige European Football Clubs

The Ebel Tekton Automatic Chronograph watch will be presented in two exciting models which commemorate the success of two of Europe's greatest prestige football clubs, and cement the prominent association of Ebel with the sport of football. These timepieces will mark the partnership of Ebel with FC Bayern Munich and FC Arsenal.

The Ebel 1911 Tekton Automatic Chronograph FC Bayern Munich watch will be offered in a limited series of 250 watches; its key features include a stainless steel case with a blackened treatment, a black galvanic dial with an exclusive stamped pattern, and a technofiber strap. Offered in an edition of 350, the Ebel Tekton Chronograph Automatic Chronograph FC Arsenal watch has a satin-finished stainless steel case, a dark blue alligator strap with contrasting stitching, and a silvery dial with red and gold accents. Water resistance of both timepieces is rated at 200 meters.

These Ebel timepieces incorporate the exclusive Ebel Caliber 245 movement, whose chronograph mechanism has been uniquely designed for the requirements of timing a football match, chiefly the 45-minute match half times and extra time. This sophisticated automatic-winding movement can be admired through a sapphire crystal caseback which reveals a very special detail: the skeletonized oscillating mass takes the form of a football, personalized for each of the two clubs; the limited number of the watch in its series is also engraved on the outer edge. Each Ebel 245 caliber is also certified as a Chronometer, after passing 15 days of testing by the Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres (COSC).

Launch of these models is scheduled for October 2008.
