Hilary Swank: A Lover, Not a Fighter, Gerald Butler, ps i love you

Hilary Swank is such a dynamic actress. Having had a one- two punch at the box office and the Academy Awards, it would seem there is nothing she can’t do.

Hilary Swank first caught our attention in 2000, winning the Academy Award for her role as Brandon Teena, a trans-gendered teen in the indie film Boys Don’t Cry. A few years later, she then re-invented herself as a world class, tough-as-nails boxer for the 2005 film Million Dollar Baby. For the second time, her transformation won her gold. Now Ms. Swank is again venturing into unfamiliar territory; for the first time, we will be seeing Hilary Swank in a romantic comedy.

In her new film P.S. I Love You, Hilary Swank plays Holly Kennedy, a young widow who discovers that her late husband has left her 10 messages intended to help ease her pain, and start a new life. The film co-stars Lisa Kudrow, Gina Gershon and Harry Connick Jr. Ms. Swank says she fell in love with the role immediately upon reading it. Will P.S. I Love You be yet another winner for Hilary Swank?

Seen here at the world premiere of P.S. I Love You, Hilary is wearing a very feminine black satin chiffon gown, by designer Monique Lhuillier. The gown is accented with a gold belt, and Ms. Swank wears a bangle bracelet and golden pearl and black diamond chandelier earrings. She certainly looks the part of a romantic!
