Kirsten Dunst brings Ray Ban Wayfarers back

While Justin Timberlake is busy bringing sexy back, Kirsten Dunst is busy bringing Ray Ban’s back.

Ok… so she isn’t doing it single handedly. It seems a large contingency of the celebrity community has reignited its love affair with these timeless classics, and retailers around the world are eating it up.

So much so, that these glasses are now the same price as other luxury brand sunglasses. Go into any sunglass store in a mall and you are likely to pay $140 + for pair of these timeless classics.

Made famous by Audrey Hepburn in the sixties favorite “Breakfast at Tiffany’s these perennial optics were soon kept alive by Madonna, Tom Cruise, Sonny Crockett, and The Blues Brothers though most of the seventies and eighties.

They had a brief popularity resurgence in the early nineties when “Reservoir Dogs” came out but have stayed relatively low-key until recently.

These days Kirsten Dunst, Micha Barton, and Mary Kate Olsen seem to be leading the Wayfarer charge.
