Lily Allen: Cindy Lauper 2.0?
Back
Mar 7, 2007

Ready to invade the American pop music scene, British pop sensation Lily Allen comes armed with the ever popular Mui Mui bag and a bad attitude ("that's all I need to to put me in a good mood..." ---guess this quote)
Singlehandedly Lily Allen has brought British pop music to its knees this year with such catchy songs as "Smile" and "Alfie".
"Smile" is a song about the joy Lily gets when she sees her ex-boyfriend hit the skids. In a similar vein, "Alfie" is about her pot-head little brother (who is actually named Alfie) whom she pleads to stop smoking so much.
Her style and her songs are as spunky as Lily, who is noted for getting kicked out of 13 schools in her short 21 years of life. Accused of cultivating a "chav" image, Allen seems to live her life by her own rules.
In this photo, keeping with her "chav" image, Lily sports a gold Rolex President watch.
Is Lily her own person or is this simply Cindy Lauper 2.0?
