Pop star Mary J Blige has designed a limited edition
Ernst Benz Chronoscope watch, which will support the work of
Chrysalis, a non-profit organization devoted to assisting individuals escape homelessness and poverty. The timepiece is part of a collection entitled "Time for Change", which comprises a series of watches designed with the input of celebrities.
Other Ernst Benz watches in this collection are designed by Eric Dane and Russell Simmons. Just 24 numbered watches will be made in each designer model, to be made available exclusively at Saks Fifth Avenue; 50% of the sale from each watch will go to Chrysalis. In addition, one watch from each series will be auctioned online, with 100% of these proceeds going to the organization.
Leonid Khankin, Managing Director and Designer for Ernst Benz, stated, "I knew that I wanted to support Chrysalis after learning of the organization, but after attending this year’s Butterfly Ball, I am even more dedicated to supporting this project. This limited edition watch collection is just one step towards raising funds and awareness for an organization doing incredible work to change lives and give people back their dignity."
