Gerald Genta Gefica Blue Note Watch

With a mix of tribal design, art deco, and jazz music inspiration, the Gerald Genta Gefica Blue Note is a healthy addition to the haute horology brand’s watch line. Rarely used in making watch cases, the Gefica watch case is constructed from bronze. 46.5mm at its widest point and 42.5mm wide at the wrist, the watch epitomizes the Gerald Genta theory of watch design. Functionality is simple but well presented as the hours are jumping and the minutes are on a retrograde scale. The date is also on a retrograde scale, and the red seconds hand runs around the entire dial.
The metal “beads” all over the case are in titanium and help add another characteristic Gerald Genta look to the case. The blue on the dial and alligator strap are part of the “Blue Note” theme as part of the jazz music influence behind the watch. The timepiece is extremely hip and avant garde for those not used to the Gerald Genta manner of presenting watches. Quality is very high, while emphasis is on the lasting quality of the design. Like all bronze items, the Gefica Blue Note watch will adopt a unique patina color over time. Best of all, the unique presentation of time is easy to read and live with even though it is unorthodox given typical watches. The Gefica Blue Note line will be a limited edition of just 50 pieces and will only be available through exclusive Gerald Genta boutiques in Geneva, Paris, Shanghai, and Hong Kong.
